One Key Factor When Facing Difficult Circumstances
What difficult circumstances are you facing?
I had some difficult circumstances just yesterday. I ended up spending six hours in Emergency due to some chest pains. I was told it’s always a good idea to get chest pains checked out by a doctor not just google, so I did.
The good news is, I’m fine but I did wonder. The doctor wasn’t exactly sure what caused the pain since my numbers were all good and there was no sign of any heart trouble. The incident gave me time to reflect on how I deal with difficult circumstances.
What I realized as I spent the day in the hospital was that my purpose places a more signficant role in my life than I sometime realize. I found meaning to the waiting and interactions I had while I hung out in the ER for a few hours.
Viktor E. Frankl’s quote proved true:
“Life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by lack of meaning and purpose.”
